Civic engagement became introduced into the ADAC as a voter registration and voter implementation campaign in late 2011. This included activating and engaging volunteers, registering people to vote, educating on civic engagement, as well as getting out the vote at the time of the election. In 2012 ADAC was again engaged through the DREAM Voter campaign, encouraging community members to register to vote and pledge to vote with a DREAMer in mind. In 2014 ADAC again became civically engaged. Volunteers were recruited, engaged, and trained throughout all campaigns. All of the above civic engagement opportunities focus primarily on canvassing door by door, high traffic areas, schools, and educating community voters on the importance o the vote. Efforts also included getting people out to vote when the PEVls dropped and on Election Day.
